My first tattoo. I didn’t really have a plan for what I wanted it to look like other than the outline, I just let the artist do his own thing and I’m really happy with the way it came out. Done by Max Wetzel at Lucky 13 tattoo on Broad st. Richmond, VA.
This is my tattoo of Australopithecus afarensis (Lucy) done by Jerry at Calculated Punkture in California. I am Anthropology major, and I adore bones and fossils of early humans. In addition, I am a big Beatles fan: Lucy was named after “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds”, the song that was playing when they discovered her. I thought this the perfect way to honor both my loves.
